Free taster – meet the boat

We love boats at Get Lost Sailing. We know people should be on them every spare minute they can get! However, not everybody has had the opportunity to get on a boat so we are offering a free taster to those people who still aren’t sure what to expect.

On Saturday mornings from the 7th of May, six people can come and join the crew as they take the boat from Poole Quay to Cobbs Quay. This morning ritual enables the crew to refuel the boat and check the engines and safety equipment on board. While they are doing this you will cruise past Poole Town lifting bridge, the Twin Sails bridge and the RNLI college. You can use the time to listen to information from the crew and ask questions about the boat and the awesome things we do.

This free taster session is simply to scout out the boat itself and get information for yourself and your group. The boat won’t be travelling at speed as the limit is 4 knots to the fuel pontoon. We will provide you with a lifejacket while you are with us and you can expect the session to take between 45 minutes and an hour and a half. It’s an early start though and you will have to be with us by 08:30am.

Whilst this isn’t an excursion by any means, it is an opportunity for a behind the scenes look at everything that goes into providing the ultimate boat trips that we are so proud of. You will get a great preview of the seating, the safety briefing, the two 200hp engines and the feeling associated with being on the water with us. Plus you will get to witness the refuelling process. Did you know it costs over £450.00 to fill the fuel tank on Seafari Hawk?!

You can book these intros on line in the normal way.
