Bournemouth Bay Run 2016

This year we are sponsoring the Bournemouth Bay Run by providing the first prize to the half marathon event! We are extremely proud to be doing this. At Get Lost Sailing we’re keen to get you to #putyourphonedown and go outside to do something real together. So, we were thrilled to get the chance to help the Bournemouth Bay Run and the British Heart Foundation for whom the run is in aid of. The event really sums up what our company’s about.

The event takes place on Sunday 3rd April 2016 and there are different races to take part in. There is a 1k family fun run, 5k and 10k races and of course the half marathon. This year is expected to be the biggest Bournemouth Bay Run yet and the spectators on the day are anticipated to number between 10,000 and 15,000 fans along with somewhere between 2,500 and 3,500 runners. Bournemouth Council who are organising the event said the following:

We’re looking forward to welcoming a new group of first-time as well as experienced runners to the Bournemouth Bay Run this April. “The race always brings a great amount of energy to Bournemouth seafront and encourages people to challenge themselves, no matter what their ability. “It also serves as a fantastic opportunity to raise essential funds for charity, such as our partner charity, the British Heart Foundation.”
